Dubai Airshow 2021 was officially the biggest edition of the event since it first began in 1989, with an incredible USD 78 billion worth of deals announced during the week. The mega event welcomed more than 104,000 attendees and witnessed a 50% increase in trade visitors which included global senior executives from 148 countries.
The Dubai Airshow 2021, set to take place from 14-18 November 2021, serves as a key indicator of Dubai’s success in overcoming the challenges that the pandemic has posed, and moving in the right direction towards achieving a full recovery of the aviation industry.

The 182-day event (taking place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022), will welcome visitors from every corner of the globe to join the making of a new world, as it brings together the planet in one place to reimagine tomorrow.
On June 18th of last year, I walked into a “business update” meeting that resulted in my redundancy at Emirates. When I first heard this news I was devastated. I felt as though I had given so much of myself to the airline, and that my entire world was crashing down. I didn’t get my last flight… I wasn’t leaving on my own terms…I didn’t have a backup plan…! Yet still, I tried to hold onto hope that in a year’s time things would get better.
This year’s hybrid event brought together tourism destinations from around the world to showcase their brand and exhibit alongside the biggest names in accommodation and hospitality, renowned tourism attractions, innovative travel technology companies, and key airline routes, around the theme “A New Dawn for Travel and Tourism”.
Kelsey Johnson will represent Canada at Miss Charm 2021, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on October 11, 2021. Her crowning comes after having placed in the top 10 at Miss Universe Canada in October of last year.
