Aviation is such a thrilling industry. There’s so much more to it than aircraft, airports and aircrew. It’s technology, it’s innovation, it’s tourism… but as exciting as aviation is, it has its hardships too.
Due to a recent decline in air travel demand, the industry as a whole has taken a serious hit. Airlines are expected to lose billions over the coming weeks as more routes are cut, and further travel restrictions are implemented.
It breaks my heart to see all of this happening, but our industry has been challenged many times before. In the Gulf alone, we have overcome some pretty serious obstacles together, yet we have always emerged stronger. I have no doubt this will be the case again.
When we are faced with difficulties, it is easy for us to become consumed in negative thought. We need to learn to train our minds to see the good in everything. It is the quality of our thoughts that determine our happiness. Instead of seeing the current climate as grim, let’s see it as another opportunity to bring us closer together.
