November Roster (2018)

Hello from London, Ontario, Canada! 🇨🇦 I’ve been on leave the last two weeks and haven’t been active  online as a result, BUT we were recently given our November rosters and you guys have asked me to share it with you:

  • Johannesburg, South Africa 🇿🇦
  • Hong Kong 🇭🇰
  • Malé, Maldives 🇲🇻 (turnaround)
  • Chennai, India 🇮🇳 (turnaround)
  • Dallas, U.S.A 🇺🇸
  • Colombo, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
  • SEP (Safety & Emergency Procedures training)

You may have noticed that there are no new destinations this month! As bummed as I am about it, I was able to swap a few flights already for days off, which I intend to use for personal travel. My South African and Sri Lankan flights were originally United Kingdom destinations, but I swapped them with two of my colleagues as soon as our portal opened.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with SEP training, it is mandatory for Cabin Crew to renew our licences and takes place once a year. Over the course of two days, we undergo a series of evaluations to test our skills on aircraft safety and security. These evaluations cover aircraft equipment, fire-fighting and in-flight emergencies (from unlawful interference, to disruptive behaviour, hijacking and sabotage), as well as evacuation and general medical training. Yes, believe it or not, our job entails more than just serving chicken or beef!

I’ve been a bit behind on my writing, but I intend to use the next few days to catch up! As always, thanks again for your patience and continued support. ♥️

Hii Kelsey, I was navigating all over the internet and I found your blog. It is very interesting and helpful.
I see that you are Canadian, and I have a BIG question related to an upcoming Open Day in Montreal on November 30 2018.
I am Mexican, and I want to attend this Open Day, but I am concerned that the whole process and everything would be in French because that is their language in that region.
And I was hoping that maybe you know if it will be in English or French. I talked to an ex-Emirates cabin crew and she told me that I had nothing to worry about because all the recruitments are English spoken, but before buying my flights, I want to know if all the way to Canada will be worth it. Also, I read there is an Open Day in Toronto which could be a good option too,but the dates for Montreal work better for me.
Thank you so much in advance ❤️

      Hi Arianna,

I’m really sorry but I don’t have the answers to your questions. I can’t speak to anything but my personal experience when it comes the open days. But, when I went through the process, I attended an open day in Toronto, Canada and the recruiters spoke and conducted everything in english.

French is our second language in Canada (english being our first). That being said, I highly doubt they would conduct the open days in French especially since english is a requirement of the job. (A second language is not).

      Kelsey
