Wow! What an exciting week for Emirates at the 2017 edition of the Dubai Airshow. This five day exhibition brought together some of the biggest names in aviation to showcase the latest products, services and technologies that the industry had to offer.
Emirates had its largest ever showing. We unveiled our enhanced Boeing 777-300ER with fully enclosed First Class Suits (an industry first), placed an order for 40 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, flew two of our wide-bodied aircraft in formation with the Al Fursan team, launched our new advertising campaign with Jeremy Clarkson, opened the Emirates Flight Training Academy and signed several agreements; for six new flight training devices, for the next generation inflight broadband connectivity and for developing new global e-commerce solutions. We also shared our cutting-edge 3D printing technology to manufacture components for aircraft cabins.
Emirates hosted a total of 27,000 people on our static aircraft that included our 100th Emirates Airbus A380, our newest Boeing 777-300ER, our Airbus A319 Executive Jet and Cirrus SR22 training aircraft.
I was thrilled to have taken part in this exciting event as an Emirates Social Media Broadcaster alongside my colleagues: Jarad, Elizabethe and Doyle. This opportunity gave me the chance to take in these magical moments firsthand; witnessing the innovative thinking that has made us who we are today- industry leaders. I can’t wait to see what’s next for us!
