I just found out your blog since I want to be a EK flight attendant recently haha. May I ask a question that if I am very into one destination, e. g. New York and hope to fly to there as much as possible cuz I wanna visit my friends. is it possible or how often can I get if I would arrange most of my schedule to NY?I mean is it possible to fly one route several times in a month? it might be a weird question hahah thanks!

      Hi Amy,

Glad you found my blog! To answer your question; depending on where you come from you will need an American Visa to work in the U.S. airspace. Emirates would help you to acquire this if you wish to operate American flights (Canadians and Americans do not require this). It is possible to operate flights to either EWR or JFK from Dubai, but it is important to note that this may not occur every month or as frequently as you’d like, because scheduling (in my experience) is largely influenced by seniority. There are also only a few flights to New York each month, and there are give or take about 20,000 Cabin Crew. We can request certain flights every month but there is never a guarantee that we will receive what we’d like. We can also swap flights with each other but legalities can make that difficult. In short, it is possible but please don’t accept the position if this is the only place you hope to fly to. Crew tend to like JFK flights for shopping, so the destination is a popular one! 🙂

      Hope that helps!

Hey there! I hope you are doing fine. 🙂 i would like to ask you a question as i want to join EK as cabin crew!. I personally can have three passports as i was born in Canada by my canadian mother, but we actually lived in the USA and we returned back to Greece our home country. So I currently hold two passports: the american and the canadian. I can also apply for a greek one but for the moment i travel in the EU with my ID. When i apply for EK what nationality should i use and if i am accepted will i he able to use all passports or one? Thank you in advance! 😊😊😊

      Hi Kostas,

My apologies but I cannot speak on behalf of Emirates regarding your inquiry, nor can I give you my personal opinion on the matter because I’m not familiar with how these things work.

      Kind regards,
      Kelsey
